Those who know me know I travel all over the world on points. And I earn a lot of my points by buying them at low prices. For example, right now you can buy 100,000 USAirways points for $1,478 all in. Now, when you break down the points, here’s what 100,000 USAirways miles will get you: A business class ticket on a Star Alliance partner to/from North America to Europe. I even found routing like this in Business Class booking via USAirways: LAX TO LONDON (stop) TO seoul (stop) TO LAX all for 100,000 miles. That means for $1478 (the cost of buying 100,000 points during this promo) + tax of around $170, you’d get a Business Class ticket basically around the world. Not bad when you consider a coach ticket for that kind of routing will cost upwards of $2,600. That’s why I say this double mile promo is a great deal! The USAirways double miles promo will be ending September 15th. You will need to have a USAirways frequent flyer account opened at least for 12 days, so if you don’t, it’s too late this go around. But I highly suggest you open up an account anyway. Not only is it free, these promos happen a few times a year.
